Hey guys, just thought I would give an update. After riding around for a while it does ride pretty rough. I am totally fine with that though. It rode rough before when it was stock too. I ended up getting adjustable camber bushings for the front end because it was way out. I got some from rockauto and they are -+3.2 degree. I put them in and lined up the tires by eye for now...it has to be very close. I am driving it this way for a while till it settles a little more then I will have it alligned. The tires are not wearing funny at all. I am still very happy. I will have to update again in a year.
Heres a more current picture. Looks better cause when I adjusted camber the front leveled out a bit. image uploading
And just because.....I felt bad for that poor little Duramax! (figured the ford fans would like this) image hosting service
Yeah me too, lifted grey truck's arn't very cool Good job man, I use POR 15 on a buddy's 55 chev and on my 69 Torino, good strong stuff. I have a local place I can pick it up as well. Is yours light smoke grey color or silver?
Whatever yours is, mine is the exact same color. My title says silver, while the insurance/courthouse call is grey. I tend to call mine grey, just because everyone refers to it as "the grey truck"
I'm just about to put a 4" lift on mine (95 SC F250 on 315/75/16s) and was curious if you had to lengthen your brake lines or not. On the rear mine looks long enough but the fronts look like they'll need to be lengthened. Did your brake lines reach?
Sorry guys...no bolts on the spring hangers. Have to grind the rivets off and pound through. My brake lines reach without a problem. I was worried about it but it works fine. What else you wanna know? I really like it so far. It rides pretty stiff but am still very happy. Any questions ask away!
