That looks AWESOME.....What did you use to coat the frame, etc? And how long did it take?

I used POR-15. Stop Rust POR15 All I did was knocked off all the rust I could with a hammer or scrapper and then wire brushed it and painted it on with cheap brushes I could throw away when finished. Stuff works awesome! It really didnt take that long. The whole project took me a long time but that was spread out and not working on it every night but the painting didnt really take that long. If you were to do a frame only a quart will work but with the axles and rear tank and skid plates I used like a quart and a quarter/half.

Ok....I'd be doing the I-Beams, Frame rails, cross members, axle tubes/differential housing, etc....No need to do the fuel tanks IMO....Can you get it in different colors?

Yeah, Black, Grey, Silver and Clear. They make a bunch of products but I just used the POR-15 paint. I put the link for their website in the last post. Its really a good product. They do say that it will fade from UV rays. I dont care cause its under my truck and wont see the sunlight but something to keep in mind. You can top coat it if you prefer. I used the regular Black. They also have gloss Black.

All I can say is, WOW! Looks great!

Do you think that stuff would work as a bed liner? I know they have a bed liner product, but you can only get it in black.

The first can I ordered from there website. At that time they had free shipping and no tax. The second can I got at a local paint supply house that stocks it. I would just order it on their website if you have time to wait for it.

RLA, I would think it would protect your bed if you painted it but would also be pretty slick. When it hardens it is very very hard. I think it may just be to slippery in a bed. Most bedliners have a texture to them so stuff doesnt slide all over.

Thats very nice, great job on it. I noticed 5 leaves on the front packs, and I know you said it still needs aligned but have you driven it much at all? If so, how harsh is it? My front leave pack has only two but thats factory. It's sagging so bad theres only an inch until it hits the bumpstop. I want to level it for sure, but I'm still undecided on lifting it.

Well, I have only driven it a little so far. It seems pretty decent. After all it is still a 90's 3/4 ton truck so its not gonna ride like a Lincoln. Before I did all this work everything and I mean everything was loose and clunked in the front end so......I would say it is much better than before and rides quieter. I took out the factory 2 leaf springs. I can tell you more once I drive it some more.

Should have spent some money on tires and an alignment. I prefer the before, but that's cause it looks like the nose is a bit high. That may settle out though. Good looking pickup though.
