Nothing specific. I just had an opportunity to get a discount on an IFS but it still didn't fit in the budget. So I'll probably just stick with the beam axle.

Trying to build a truck with Champagne taste on a beer budget.

...I am there my friend. I am amazed I can put gas in my truck on my shoe string budget. If I had any sort of cash I would be gettin my axle from Sid right about now. In time though...it will get done! In the mean time I can drive it around as is.

A well set up beam axle will give 90% of any typical IFS.

Ax...where were you when i tore down a perfectly good stock front end 8 years ago!? I wish i would have heard more advice like that.

I had just gotten my truck 8 years ago and had planned in advance to replace the beam with an IFS until I drove it home cross country. By the time I got it home I was more than satisfied to leave the freshly rebuilt beam in place, and that's coming from a national level autocross enthusiast!
