Still have road walk after Redhead install

The symptoms I had before the Redhead install was slack in the box so that made the truck wander/road hunt at speeds over 60mph.Here is what has been changed and checked. All front steering components have been checked and are good(tie rods, ect)New Redhead installed, front end alignment done, new ball joints,Powerslot rotors, dropdown and sway bar bushings-1-2 years ago.
I am still getting the road hunt over 60mph.No slop in steering now,it is tight.I am looking for suggestions on what I should look for next??Could wore out front spring bushings cause this?I have new 265x75x16 Hankook Dynapro MT tires.

http://www.hankooktireusa.com/Produc...um=4&FnCode=04

Symptoms:Road hunt and ''the clunk'' turning left or right at slow speed.
Thanks Folks!

Yes spring bushings can cause this. I have to replace another bushing in in my POS revtech springs for this same issue.

I think you are right on my left and right pop.It is time to tighten and loctite the track bar camber nut on my leveling kit. Thanks
I will admit I am not the best front end man around by no means so I took it to a guy I went to HS with that is in that business. He checked it out and found nothing loose/worn and then he lined it up.Sooooo,I do not know what else to do.
The spring bushing do need changing(260k and i get down in some rough river bottoms) and I will get that done tomorrow.
I am just looking for ya'lls help.

Mine does the same thing, thats one of the 2 things I hate about my truck. But mine does it all the time at any speeds, with stock tires. I have a friend of a friend that heard to change the tires, but he put had stock size but not stock brand. So he changed them to OEM tires and was instanly fixt. I havent done anything with mine yet.

I chased road walk the entire time I had my obs. New everything in the front. It was scary towing with it. Turned out to be the tires

I'm with ya'll.It very well could be the tires. If you look at the tread directions with them being one way and then the other I am wonderring if that ain't my problem?

Had a walk to the left years ago, rotated the tires and it was straight as a string. Easy check before you try anything else.

Interesting note with the tires because some tires got an arrow showing the recommended rotation of that specific tire on the rim. Good luck Barry, hope its a easy one for yaa..

I'm in the same boat. New moog ball joints and tie rods, new red head box, new bilsteins. I talked to an old guy at an alignment shop and he told me the torque was to high on my ball joint, and that ford had a TSB on it, making trucks have bad memory steer. I'm gonna re-torque mine and if that dont fix it may be lookn at new tires. I'm run'n 305' MasterCraft which are D's, on a ten inch rim, may go back to stock, Or trade it off....dont know

If it's tires, that should be easy to figure out. If all goes as planned, I'll have 4 BFG AT 285's on mounted on wheels I can let you borrow for a few weeks to help diagnose this.

I rotated them and that did not help.I would'nt think it was the nitrogen I have in them???
We may have to swap,if changing the leaf spring bushings does'nt help I do not know what else to do.

I was all for the tires being the culprit, but ya tried that. Can your front end friend dial in a little more positive caster? That will take the twitch out of steering.

We will see what the new bushings do but I am in suspect of the tires as well.We can swap tires with Chris this weekend.
