02 f250 4x4 ball joint kit.. help please

a few months ago i posted about needing to replace the ball joints on my truck. a few of you replied..
I cant seem to find the link to a page one of you gave on a ball joint kit. it was a detailed reply with the ball joint part numbers, seal numbers, inner bearing numbers, o-ring kit numbers.. ect.. everything you would need for the front end.

If i remember, it was a Napa kit.

thanks..

If you click on your name in the top right corner where it tells you if you have a Private Message, click your name, click on tab that says Statistics, then click threads started by "insert your name here". Click that and it will show you the thread you started.

I'd go with Moog ball joints personally.

You need:

2 F81Z4A322AA Yellow orings

2 F81Z3254CB Seal

2 F81Z1S175HCA Wheel seal

2 EOTZ3K050B lower ball joint snap ring

1 4C3Z1K106AA oring kit (includes 1 snap ring and two black hub seals)

And then of course the ball joints themselves.

Moog Ball Joint Upper Part No. K80026
Moog Ball Joint Lower Part No. K8607T

If you want problems, go with Moog. I made that mistake, twice. Moog makes thier ball joints too tight and it creates a steering problem where the wheel doesn't return to center after turning a corner.

I bought Raybestos uppers and Motorcraft OEM sealed lowers to cure this problem.

I actually called Moog about this issue and they told me that there is a break in period but couldn't tell me how long. I ran them in for about 8k miles each pair with no improvement.

I just finished my ball joint project. I recommend you read Racerguys ball joint thread from begining to end.

All you could ever want to know about replacing your ball joints:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/3...ll-joints.html

I looked into the Powerstroke Shop's kit which had most of what I wanted, but their shipping price was so high that it was cheaper to piece it together through my local dealership and RockAuto Auto Parts. Clay at Riffraff Diesel wasn't around back then either, so he's another resource too.

I bought the Moog upper and lower ball joints for my rig and have been very happy with them. I was told it would take 2K miles (give or take) to breake them in, but they've been awesome since the day I installed them and are working like champs 20K later.

I got mine here ----> Super Duty F250 F350 4x4 Complete Ball Joint Kit 1999 2004

Super fast shipping and their write up for ball joint installation had pics and was easy enough to follow. I did mine in under 4 hours. I need a leveling kit now.
