lift kits

I know this has probably been asked before but I have a 97 f350 4x4 crew cab , I would like to lift it about 4" who makes the best lift for this and why? Where its leaf spring front and rear couldnt it be lifted by changing the springs? Would it have to have the drop pitman arm and stuff too? Thanks , sorry for all the questions use to working on drag cars not trucks

I would wager that the reason you are not getting any responses is because everyone has answered that question a brazillion times and they all want to tell you to use the search function to find the info you want. Quickly though, your truck is leaf sprung so you are right, new leaf springs front and rear along with a drop pitman arm, longer shocks, and brakes lines or brake line relocating brackets, longer sway bar connectors and that is about it if you are only doing a 4" kit on your truck. Driveshaft will be ok and its a straight axle so there will be no alignment needed. Do some searching, you will find a lot of info. Quality kits are the brand name ones, dont buy a 4" kit off ebay for 250 bucks cause it will be junk.

I have put dozens of Tuff country lifts on 350's with no issues. I am sure just about any big company would be fine. If I were to choose one, it would be bds.
