The passenger side valve cover has the PCV valve that connects to the base of the carb. No problem.

On the driver side is the fill cap with breather and it has a hose connection on the top. Based on what I know this would connect to the original air cleaner. However, I am using an Edelbrock air cleaner and there is no connection for this.

Where do I connect the hose from the breather?

 

You can modify the air breather for a fitting for the hose. Or you can find a valve cover cap for one with it's own filter that doesn't use a hose.

I had an old valve cover cap with it's own filter. Not much of a filter really. Not a lot of air flows into the engine compared to down the carb.

Try your local Speed Shop and see what they have.

 

I caped the aircleaner hose fitting on my edelbrock and k+n. Ran awhile with the valve cover cap and hose connection open for awhile till I picked up a new cap. They never came from the factory connected that way that I know of.

 

Look on the bottom of the air cleaner. I've seen aftermarket air cleaners with a knock-out plug just for this. They have some type of adapter that bolts to the bottom and accepts a hose to supply filtered air to the crankcase.
