Does anyone have a source for the foam material that seals the edges of the heater/ac diverter/mixer doors? It's probably about 1/4" thick, and pretty fine cellular foam; very similar to what I've seen as a filter element in window airconditioners.

Not sure what foam you are talking about for sure.......If its in strips, try some home weatherstripping. If its more like a sheet, when I redid my AC box in my 72 Chevelle, I used some craft foam my wife found. Its in sheets about 12" x 12" and is about 1/8" thick. Check the craft section at Wallyworld or craft stores.

 

The door that's lost it's foam seal is the one below the golve box, down near the floor. From what's left of the foam, it looks like the foam covered the full surface of the door. Guess this was for factory build considerations because it only needs to seal around the perimeter. The 12x12,1/8" foam sheet sounds like a good solution. I'll look for some the next time I'm near the craft store.
