94 lightning

well i bought a recovered stolen 94 lightning. less drive train, carpet, seats, wiring harness, ecm, wheels, rear bumper. i would like to replace the rear tube bumper. does anyone know of a place besides the junk yard and dealer. i don't know what i'll do with it yet. the one thing that did cross my mind was to put a carbed motor maybe (super charged or turbo?) in it with a 4 spd non-electronic auto trans in it. as for the wheels probably 2000-2004 lightning wheels if it fits or centerline wheels. i always liked centerline wheels. i wanted to paint it but not have it look like a lightning. i was thinking lite blue, silver, gray, maroon, or 2 tone. house of kolor or ppg. i haven't decided yet. well i guess thats it for now. got to sleep for work. yawn.

Join NLOC and get some ideas.

A guy just painted one blue and it looks amazing. Ive also seen a silver one. My favorite was a copper 2 tone Lightning.

Tube bumper. Best bet is the NLOC classifieds. I sold mine on there.

Congrats on the purchase though and thanks for saving it from most likely being crushed.

I would be interested in the bumper if it's not beat up and dented. Let me know what you want for it.

Like 86F150302 said. NLOC. but be prepared to spend about 200 for a used one.
Either that or buy a grizzly or smittybuilt tube one

House of Kolor silver on the bottom, and indigo blue on the top. say like a 1 foot high silver bottom. I think that would look REALLY good, and can get a nice urethane front bumper and rear roll pan from sporttrucks.com I think that's right web page
if you want to go turbo, don't go carb,
351 with bolt-ons and a super would be fun, but a built 460 would be cheaper and still make great power, high rise manifold and big 4 barrel with a cowl induction hood, that would sound and look insane in a lightning.

My two cents. ;-)

What's wrong with having a turbo on a carbed engine?...

Zx... everytime I see that avatar/picture I laugh and am disgusted. lol
I have just found from my personal, turbo works best with high flow injectors. you CAN do it, but if you want to go carb, supercharger works better than turbo. You can shoehorn a 512 CiD into a ford probe, so anything is possible. just saying, happy wise... carb and super is an easier, MUCH better sounding way to go ;-)
