6.2 Crash Testing - GRAPHIC WARNING!
Ok.. it has happened AGAIN!!! A lady dropped an envelope and reached to pick it up... she hit both the new F-250 (just made the 2nd payment!) and the step-daughters (used to be ours) 2003 GMC 2500 HD. This is the 2nd time the GMC had gotten hit parked in front of our house.. and BOTH times it was by a Chevy Impala!
My truck:
Nat's Truck:
She now has quadrasteer! This is the back wheel!
You can see how she knocked Nat's truck up over the curb:
and finally...
Truck is at the local Ford dealership... Hopefully will know more tomorrow... UGH..
Main thing is no one got HURT!

Thanks... I guess I got to that point where I realize it could have been a LOT worse and I'm just glad no one was hurt... and as much I love my new truck... it is just a truck... can't imagine if the step-daughter had been getting out of her truck when this happened!

Not sure the complete damage on the GMC.. do know that the axle SLID on the leaf spring!
This is not the first Impala to take on our GMC! About 5 years ago a kid down the street drove into the GMC! I kid you not.. another Impala!!!

Make that two of us. I know how much you love that truck and it a beauty, but it is refreshing to see someone with your attitude. All too often we lose sight of the fact that things can be MUCH worse than they appear to be here. I'm super glad no one got hurt. Keep us posted about the progress and repairs. Kudos to you for being more concerned about the people involved than the vehicles.........it speaks volumes about your character my friend.

Great job handling it all, that's for sure.
"Dropped an envelope" - should have asked her "Did you go after it with the cell-phone hand, or the one holding the steering wheel?".
I guarantee she was either on the phone, and/or dropped the phone trying to make/receive a call
If there was personal injury (not hers), I'd say get the cops to look up her cell account. But I doubt they'll do it for property damage.
Can you tell I've been commuting for 2.5 weeks on metro/suburb Long Island?
