Odds are junk yard parts might be just as bad as yours. Check with our sponsors for new. Body shop guy told me to try 1000 grit, then 2000 to break up oxidation, then polishing compound followed by a clear coat. Son-in-law just had a "restoration" done on his Dodge Neon. Guy came right to his house and did it in the driveway and cleared them They look like new for $50.

I got a brand new pair off ebay for about $140, including the shipping. I see them regularly for about $150-$160 from various dealers on ebay. This is for the pair. Mine also came with new bulbs and new lock rings to hold the bulbs in. It's not that bad when you consider how much the bulbs are a piece, you get an extra pair out of it.
My headlights had micro cracks in them, which gave them a cloudy look. No amount of polishing would bring them back, so I just got a new pair. When they're just cloudy they're salvagable, but when they get those cracks theyre as good as trash. It's too bad you can't just buy the clear lens.

www.partsgeek.com I bought L & R sides for $18 each, and like $10 S + H.....That was for my 94'......I love that site, good fast service, and never a wrong part...

It would seem like someone would eventually catch on... All you need is the headlight bucket and lense... You don't really need the black bracket and turn signal that you have to buy as a set everywhere... I wouldn't be opposed to buying just the buckets with new lenses for $40 or $50 per side... It's just rediculous to spend $150-$200 just to get rid of clowdy lenses... It would seem like a distributor would catch on and just sell the sealed bucket... I know I'm not the only one to think this...
