I was really pleased with the polished alum license bracket by HAMBER Crafty B. The CPP tank is a great product also. Thinking about installing adj. shocks in the rear. Any suggestions?
I'll work on posting a few more.Rear fenders installed, new Posies rear springs, adapting the original steering wheel to the Flaming River tilt column, door latches and hollow weather striping in. I know, I'm slow but I learned 50 years ago that the longer I think something out the better it turns out.
I really like the Posies rear spring because the front eye is standard so you don't need to flip the hanger. The back wall panel is a Mid 50 ABS and although I like it, I may still carpet. The stock steering wheel has the center spline from a 70 Chevelle wheel tig welded in it. The hollow weather strip works fine but I think the area at the cowl is still a slight bit thick and grinding it thinner with a disc sander might be the answer. Next step is to install the Rebel 9+3 rear mount wire kit on the floor behind the seat and fire the motor. Turning 72 tomorrow so my motto is "so much to do, so little time!" Later, Bill
Bill your truck looks fantastic, the meadow green suits the build style perfectly. You must be very pleased and bustin to drive it again soon...... John
Thanks for the kind comments guys. Hope to have it back on the street in a couple of months. It sat for about 5 years while my daughter and I went on the dirt modified and ASCS sprint car merry-go-round.
Looks great. I'll be glad when I can get back to working on mine. Probably be a long time due to a accident. It makes it hard looking at the pictures of these good looking restros.
