Rebuild video of my 78 ranger lariat 4x4.

Some of you know this story, Dad bought this truck new, then sold it in 1982. I tracked it down and bought it a year and a half ago. Here is a slideshow I put on youtube showing the truck and the rebuild . It's almost 15 min. long, grab a cold one, kick back and enjoy.

Great video, wish I had your resources and skill. I guess its safe to say the truck has found its way back home for the next 40 years or so? Old school country too lol , nice.

Thanks, my family lives in Morehead, thats where my uncle had the truck. The truck was in Olive Hill when I found it, not far from Ashland.

Video wouldn't play on my iPhone but in a search I found another cool vid called 1970's ford 4x4 that has a slide show of our trucks and at 40 seconds my truck is in it! Second time I've found my truck on YouTube now.
I'd like to check this one out but I'll need a laptop only cuz I can't find it on the YouTube app on my phone.

Haha, sorry you guys don't dig the old country music. Each song has some meaning to the truck or my father. My Dad is in his mid 70's now, he was very excited to see the truck again after all these years.

Love the truck and video. Thanks for sharing it with us! Stories like that are why so many of us are passionate about our dents.

I tend to type things just like I talk, no filter really. You did the work and made the video so my musical taste is of no importance. You know what they say, "opinions are like ***holes, everybodies got em."

But back to the truck, when I first found this site and did some gallery searching I downloaded all of the pics of your truck, it's beautiful and an inspiration to me. You see I have 1978 4x4 swb with the Lariat package as well, and it needs a lot of work.

Did you redo the interior or is it all original?

No problem, the interior is all original. I still can't believe how nice it stayed, the carpet, door panels, dash, etc... are all in pristine condition.
Get this, my dad took the two tone lariat seat out when the truck was new and put it up in the rafters in his garage because he liked the 78 chevy seat better. He was in the take out seat business back then and had all kinds of new seats in stock. You guessed it, he still had the BRAND NEW Lariat two tone seat when I got the truck! So my seat is the most perfect 78 Lariat seat in the world.
