Low speed Transmission slip??
I have a 2002 F150 4x4 Super Crew with 159k. fficeffice" /><O></O>
<O> </O>
Driving in my subdivision, I will come to a turn, I let off the gas and turn. When I press the gas again, the RPMs have dropped where they are normally at idle and it revs back up to be where the RPMs should be. It feels like a slip but its not running up past the RPM’s it should be at and then engaging. Which to me is a slip. This all happens at low speed. Under 20 mph.
Fluid is full. I bought the truck used so I dont know when and if the fluid was ever serviced.
Do I change the fluid/filter?
Do I put an additive to help condition the existing fluid?
Do I find a good shop for when it takes a dump?
Summer is coming up and I deal with heavy traffic in and around Houston.

Might be the Torque converter?? might be just a sensor??
if the tranny hasn't been serviced...a tranny flush and filter and fluid change couldn't hurt.
might not be a bad decision to have the tranny checked a respectable transmission repair place... or at least talk to them about it...that way if it is terminal...you already found the place to replace or overhaul it.
