WINNING ! Get in Charlies corner with this U-joint tip.
If your front u-joints clack when turning while they are just in the lock position for the winter they are probably simi-dry and if there is no zerk fittings you eventually will have to change them, but if you rip a piece of rag about a foot+ long and 2" wide, poke it through the joint with a long screwdriver, tie the loose ends, lube it with an oil can full of ATF, and drive it for a few days it will rejuvenate the dry grease that is still in there...............worked for me.
