1996 f150 Fog Light install ! 05 f250 fogs

After much consideration on what fog lights i wanted to put on my truck i picked 2005 f250 factory fog lights. They fit 100 % perfect into the air holes on my bumper with no cutting or anything. What you guys think? I got the Brand new lights for $52 shipped with bulbs.

To mount them i used double sided 3M tape , and that held them like perfectly but just for added protection i used just a flat bracket from the top of the bumper down to the bottom. Holes were even there already. cant miss em!

I wired them seperatly with i think 16 gauge wire. and i ordered a factory switch from an rv. once i mount the switch il put up a pic

I would recommend 14 gauge wire there will be less voltage drop.

Really want overkill best to use 12 or 10. I like using 10 as its more than enough for most things. Helps I got a few spools of it laying about tho.

You're fine with 16. There will be no voltage drop. Make sure to stick a fuse somewhere in the circuit.

I am sorry, those factory fog light SUCK.I have the same ones in my 04 ranger. If i was going to the time and effort to mount fog lights i would put in a good pair, similar to what southern blues has

No cutting or anything . They put out decent light too, they preform good enough for me. Heres a few more pics for those who like it

That looks sweet Bud! Very cool! I like your switch too.

I don't think that the factory type fog lights suck, but I do think that the good aftermarket ones are better. I also think that the factory ones are better than any of the cheapo ones at most of the stores.

I like that the factory ones and the good aftermarket ones, generally don't produce excessive glare to oncomming drivers. Alot of the cheopo ones glare.

I don't know what brand they are the SoutherBlues has, but I can't stand any of them that have tinted lenses. Those KCs he has probobly work quite well.

For those that don't know, here is what I did with a pair of Hella 550 lights.
