ScanGauge 2 Codes for 6.0

Does anyone know any good codes for the scan gauge 2? More specifically, I have EOT, TOT but I would like to have the coolant temp also, I have looked over the website and cannot find this one.

Also, what are the best ones to really track?

I have a 2006 4X4 Crew PSD

Thanks

Coolant temp should already be on there as a default setting it shows up as WT'f. The oil temp is the one you have to enter the code from there web site.

Is the scangague 2 like a programmer/tuner at all? or is it just a digital gague type thing. Looks interesting and may find a new home in my truck. How do you all like them that have them

They are just gauges. I installed mine last week and love it. Worth the money.

Cannot be done..Scangauge ll is not a programmer only multi-gauge & code reader

I only have the gauge about 1 week now, But I find it extremely useful thus far. I am in progress of setting all the codes up for it so I can monitor everything. Its amazing to see the "actual" temps of the oil (about 185 deg), trans (about 140), etc, then look at the Dash gauge and find them both in the same spot.... so much for the dash gauges having any "real" function. (the temps only reflect around town, thus far... as I said first week)

just got mine today and programmed it with the Trans temp and the Engine Oil temp with the codes from their website. Works great and I can see the benefits already. Now I just have to find a spot for it. Not the blendmount though I dont like it over the rearview mirror so we shall see were its final spot will be.

I used that Velcro from scotch or 3M, the plastic lookIng stuff, and placed it right under my 4 wheel drive switch. I'll post a pic in the morning.

In the Ex, the scanguage2 fits perfectly into the "cubby" where the SD has the upfitter switches.

Your oil temp seems a little low. It should be running at least 195-200deg. What is your coolant temp? It should be 191-195. If not you need a thermostat.

Thanks, but the temps only reflect about 20 minutes of driving. Over the next couple days the truck will be used and I should be able to gauge it much better. Thanks for the info. As for the coolant I have to look at the code that was previously posted wt'f and see what that reads. I will post when I have better info. Thanks for giving me some guidelines

Mounting

Not sure if this is going to be a permanent place, but it works and is an easy to read and reach location. I routed the cable behind the fuse box cover and into the seam between the upper and lower panels. I used the Command picture hanger "velcro" strips to mount it. Just clean the surfaces with alcohol. (Click on pic for larger view.)
