I am building a motor for my 351W and am getting to the part where I need to order heads. I was going to use a name brand like Edelbrock but they don't have the size I need. Suggestions on a brand to look at? When Edelbrock told me they don't have what I need, the guy suggested I look at Dart, AFR, and World for heads. Know about any of those?

 

Also check out Trick Flow and Patriot. You looking for some huge flow numbers?

 

You can't go wrong with heads from Dart, AFR, RHS, or TFS. World products are fine but they need work(porting) to be on par with heads from the others.

Yes, 2.02 or greater intake, 1.6 exhaust. Truck has a blower, those things like to work hard

 

Well, at first, I thought I wasn't going to be able to get any of the heads recommended in this thread. I had a value for the piston top volume that put me out of range of the offerings of these manufacturers. Kind of worrying that summit racing has the wrong value for this on their site. But I called the manufacturer of the pistons and got the right volume, which means I know what combustion chamber volume I need. Looks like I can get some nice AFR heads.
