F-100 Expected Gas Mileage
Hey everyone,
I'm working on restoring a 1978 F-100 Ranger, 2WD with a 302 v8 and a manual transmission. I currently drive a 1998 F-150, and I'm pretty depressed about the fuel economy I'm getting considering the gas prices these days. Does anyone have an estimation as to what kind of gas mileage I'd be looking at with the F-100? Thanks!

My 01 S'Crew 4x4 eeks out 18.5 mpg at 70 mph and around 13 mpg combined.
My 73 F-Bomb 4x4 can eek out 14 mpg at 60 mph... around 9-10 mpg combined. My old 76 2WD LB (302/C4) got 18 mpg highway at steady cruise.
Gotta drive like there's an egg btwn yer foot and the go-pedal in order to hypermile.
