Aftermarket Intake and Ford Warranty

I would really like to install the air raid intake for my new truck but want to make sure that doing so will not void any part of my warranty with Ford. Does anyone know if they can void warranty with one of these installed?

Here is what the sticker under the hood says:

Basically the Ford dealership cannot just automatically void your warranty because you have an intake on the truck. Now some dealerships will give you grief and make some very unreasonable claims, like your aftermarket muffler caused your front strut to go bad...

On the other hand some dealerships are very mod friendly, like the local dealership. I had a bad throttle position sensor. Took it in, with my Zex nitrous kit installed in plain sight and actually connected to the throttle position sensor and had numbers on the windshield from the race track.. Service writer looks in my car to get the mileage from the odometer.. he then looked at me and asked, "Why do you have a helmet in your car?" And then he just gave me a big grin! TPS replaced under warranty, no questions...

Thanks, I have never noticed that message under the hood before. I have a pretty good relationship with my local fords service department so I might just ask them. Seems a bit ridiculous to void the entire warranty for something as simple as an air intake.

In other words, if your engine developed a rod knock, they would warranty it (I hope), but if you wiped out the valve stem seals, or there was scoring on the cylinder walls, they wouldn't because it could have been the air filter letting in too much dust.

Even if the air filter could not be PROVEN to have caused the issue, conversely you couldn't prove it WAS NOT the issue.
