OBD II code P0300

My pickup has been acting a little weird latley. Some times when i start it it cranks and cranks then i cylcle the key and it starts fine. Then when the roads are icy or wet it seems like the rear end acts up(kinda slides and fells like it clunks) but feels like a random misfire. Then i googled the code(P0300) and it came up with a huge list of things like random misfire, bad crank sensor, bad 02 sensor bad cats and so on. So i have no idea where to start. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks for readin,

Lane

When is the last time you gave the truck a tune-up? P0300 is a random/multiple misfire. Many things could be at fault, but you have to give us some help. First we are going to assume it is the ranger listed in your rides. But what have you done to it mechanically? We need a little more info to be able to make diagnostic sugestions. Tune-up is where I would start.
