DVD Player Load Error

I have a 2008 Lincoln Navigator. My dvd player was working fine, until a couple days ago, when trying to insert a dvd, it says load error. It will NOT eject the dvd. It is stuck. It keeps making a sound as though it is trying to eject, but it will not come out. Please help!

I have heard pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery can sometimes cause is to spit out the stick disc once the power is reapplied.
