6.0 diesel cutting out
On my 2004 f250 6.0 diesel I recently had all injectors changed, plus the egr valve, anew bullet proof egr cooler, new oil cooler, steamed out intake manifold.Everything was great ran like a new truck.I left on a trip (700 mi.) before I got there it cut out on me 10 or 12 times. On the return trip 32 times!!! . I took it back in--they changed the back pressure sensor.Still doing it,and I can't afford to keep letting them play guessing games. OK-- so here is what's going on.It will cut out fall flat on its face just as if you turned the key off,the water in fuel light comes on (1-5 sec.) when this happens naturally let off accelerator --light goes out re-accelerate and keep going till next time.It may do it 2 or 3 times in 5 miles or once every 80 miles.Never know.Trust me its not water in the fuel. Drained three times and changed filters.Clean as can be. My thoughts are when they changed injectors possibly they did not get one of the harness connections tight under the valve covers. SEEMS LIKE I've checked every connection on that truck.Oh bye the way...they said the back pressure sensor was the only code that showed up and it shares the same circuit as water in fuel light circuit. Pulling my hair out...any suggestions.
