92 F150 300--6 misses

To begin with...my truck was missing just a little..that i figured i might as well do some plugs and wires..im sure you all probably think of excuses too, to be able to work on your trucks anyways, threw on some plugs...some wires. i start it up and when its cold..runs fine but when it warms up it would missfire so bad..so i check the firing order, its ok..i check the plug gaps, about 4 of em were way off...my dad helped me and didnt gap any of them. well after 3 tries of messing with the stupid gaps...i make SURE SURE SURE the gaps were good, i checked the distributor cap, popped it off to check things out...looked ok. it is STILL missing, same thing just not as bad...fine when its cold..when its warm it misses. what am i missing and what could i check?

Usually, a temperature-related ignition problem is the coil going bad. Older trucks also suffered from the ignition module on the distributor, but in '92 it was moved to the L inner fender and became MUCH more reliable.

the vacuum sticker says .042 to .046, so you need to gap them .044, make sure you are using MOTORCRAFT plugs too, fords do no like bosch plugs, My 351 eats em for lunch.
