07 150 4x4 supercrew. the damn wiper cowl keeps poping up in the center, then it seems I get ice under the edge and against the window, and she sits and growels at me at hwy speeds. like someone is rolling a golfball around and around and around...etc. any solutions or better aftermarket parts??????
had dealer fix mine per tsb and that only lasted 1 year and it popped again. reading on another f150 site that guy's are using a #8 1/2 inch stainless steel self tapping screw.
Mine is cracked... and the clip is gone! It is still in one piece so I might try to shore it up from underneath. Then I will use Stainless steel screws to hold it in place

Only need 1 screw in center where the 2 pieces join
If you search on this site there used to be a post with pics.on how to fix it
Did mine 3 years now no problems.
all i did was drill 2 small holes on the passanger side cowl( just the plastic)then i used 2 tiny black zip-ties. you dont even see it unless you are really looking

i dont believe i would call it a "mod", it is just zipties.but when the sun comes back out i will snap some photos and post. it is real simple and you shouldnt them. from the pass. side i drilled the 2 holes towards the driver side 1/16th or 1/8th" bit.then i put the ziptie through the grids on the drivers side cowl, closest possible spots to the new holes i drilled, then snaked them through the drilled holes and tightened them down and cut off the loose ends. super easy to do. and doesnt add a screw to the front end to possibly rust later. pics will be up soon
