08 Limited = 3.31 gears, NO HD towing package, 18" wheels, reverse camera, power running boards. Built 9/12/08
08 Eddie Bauer = 3.31 gears, DOES have HD towing pkg, 20" wheels, NO reverse camera or power running boards. Built 8/25/07
If it were me I would go for the Limited because it has the newer redesigned heads that dont have the spark plug problems and it has just about everything except HD towing and 20's.

Matt- I have a 2008 Exp Ltd I bought a couple of months ago. How can I tell if it has the redesigned heads and what was/is the spark plug problem? Do I need to be on the lookout for fouled plugs etc? It has 44,500 on it. Thanks.

You need to know the build date. Post the VIN or look on the drivers side valve cover, it should have a date on the sticker. I believe you are looking for a date after late October 08. The sticker on the door jamb will at least give you the build month.
The problem with the plugs was that they could break off when removing them, leaving part in the motor. Redesigned heads had more threads and different plugs, supposedly solving the broken spark plug issue.
44,500 is a little early to swap plugs IMHO.
Just an FYI, I also have a 06 F150 with over 192,000 on it and it's on it's 3rd set of plugs. None have broken. First change was scary but second change was alot easier.
Matt, thanks for the reply.... The VIN is: 1FMFU20598LA43117 Any info appreciated. Hopefully I don't need to get out the PB Blaster to change the plugs on the this...
Looks like you should be all right, late November build. 11/29/07
HD Tow Pkg, Rear Camera, Nav, Power Liftgate, RSE, 20's......
Pretty much loaded Expy. Love the White Sand Tri-Coat, that was my second choice.
Could be plugs or it could be coils. On my 06 150 it would misfire after shifting into overdrive about 45-50 mph and feathering the throttle. It was almost like riding a bucking bronco
