Unhappy Keyless Entry Code Location

I have a 2005 F-550 Super Duty Crew/cab Dualley with the 6.0 Turbo Diesel.

Where can I find the the PCM computer inside the cab that would have the factory key-less entry code stamped on it?
I purchased this truck in Oct. used ,and the card in the owners wallet that would have the factory code is long gone. HELPPPP.....

powerstroke72,

I'd like to thank you also. That first thread you listed was exactly where mine is located and the pictures are worth a thousand words, or more. I spent two hours ripping apart my dash and still could not find the code. I did manage to lose a mounting screw from the radio tho, so I've got that going for me. Wish I had found this thread sooner. Thanks again.

This is why I love forums. So many knowledgeable people.

My pleasure my friend and welcome to FTE!

I wish I could take credit for those great threads but I'm merely a conduit for the information. I had my dash apart last year to install my SIRIUS radio and saw my code while I was in there.

I'm with you on the forums. This site has been great to me over the years and there are a lot of very knowledgeable folks here.

Glad to have you all on board.....hang around with us and post up your questions and solutions. We're always looking for more good tips.

Also when you get a chance, drop in and check out the Tech Folder at the top of the forum...if you haven't already.

YES!

Thanks from another user, I searched and searched. BLAM thread and a little twisting and lots of moving and yanking the batting out. And I got myself a code.

Cheers!

I pulled the dash to pieces on my 07. Never did find it. Had to go to the dealer. I think he felt bad for me and did it for nothing.

If you have more than one key there may be a routine to have the code displayed on the dash. Not sure about older models, but I’ve done it successfully on a 2014 F250 and a 2014 Fusion

On 2011-2016 superduties the keysless codes is usually on a stick on the BCM cover.

However you can almost always retrieve the code using FORScan. Do this by going to service procedures and look for the option to "read factory keyless entry code". In the example provided, the code is in the drivers door module and since this particular car doesnt have keyless entry, it reads the code as 1 1 1 1 1. I would expect the code to be in the BCM for most other Ford models.
