Hey folks! Since these engines are now available and are starting to appear on the streets, Tim and I are asking for ideas for a Tech Folder. Although this is an engine forum, feel free to post your ideas even if it's related to things like the SYNC system, audio, etc.
Of course, the usual things are what we're looking for too such as oil specs, power charts, service tips, mods, etc.
So when you get a chance, drop in here and post your ideas for us. We'll look at everything and try to put something together.

Ok, I'll start very simple.
1) 6 quart oil sump, engine requires 5w-30 oil and Ford recommends a "not to exceed" 10K oil change interval. Naturally if your towing you need to use some common sense and protect your investment.
2) The engine requires NO MORE routine maintenance than a naturally aspirated engine would require.
3) The warranty is the same as it is on all Ford engines.
4) The use of regular unleaded fuel is recommended to achieve peak power and MPG's.

Rather than making a new folder, we will use this as the EcoBoost Tech Folder.
Since these engines have been out for a while, you folks that own them should be coming across a lot of good potential additions to it. I've renamed the Sticky / Folder appropriately.
Since the 2.0L EcoBoost is just starting to make its way onto the lots in the Explorer, we'll watch it and make the necessary adjustments to the folder as they become available to distinguish between the two current EcoBoost engines.
Bring on the ideas and Tim and I will begin to filter through them and place them in here.
