I am in the process of freshening up my '96 EB Bronco interior and have to either rebuild or replace my factory leather high back seats. Local upholstery places aren't willing to tackle repairing my seats. New replacement factory EB seat covers aren't available from Ford. My drivers seat leather sections are torn and getting worse so if anyone has a solution, I'd appreciate it.

I checked the threads and haven't found any solid options. Thanks in advance for help!

Finding leather seat covers could be a challenge. It really depends on how much you want to spend. Options that come to mind:

1) Somewhere an upholstery shop will take on the project of redoing the entire seats but doubtful you will find anyone to just repair leather sections.
2) You can always go with high quality covers that come close to interior color.
3) A lot of folks have swapped in seats from other vehicles. Explorers, Expeditions, etc. may be a possibility. You may have some bracket modifying to do but your chances of finding seats in better condition than yours get a lot better when you start looking at options from newer models.
4) Seats from (or made to fit) the F-series trucks of the same era will be direct swap/replacements.

 

greystreak92 -- Thanks for the info. I am looking at several seat covers so I hope someone who has already installed them can post pics or specific info on which ones are best.

I found several from JC Whitney including a set of leather-look seat covers from CalTrend. I'd like to know which seat covers are closest in color to the original tan / mocha EB leather seat color, and how to fix the torn seat bottom on my drivers seat before I install the seat covers.
