Exclamation 97 F250 Front Gear Ratio Help!

Hello,

I used to be on under a different name but changed email and lost my login. Anyways, here is my problem.

I have a 1997 F250HD 4x4 extended cab with the 460 in it. It has a Dana 50 TTB front axle. I need to replace my differential but can't find the gear ratio. I have searched everywhere and can't find the bill of material anywhere on the axle, here is what I have found.

-Axle code on door sticker: C5
-These are the numbers I found on the front of the diff cover between the fill plug and passenger side.
P664 7 1
41583c
1945

I have looked everywhere for anyother numbers but can't seen to find any. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Thanks,
John

Should be stamped on the diff. If you can't find it, look at the rear. It's the same.

Axle code on door sticker: C5 = 4.10 limited slip.

edit;
so that means you're looking for a front axle to match 4.10's (technically they're 4.09 gears up front.)
your front axle is called a D50 (dana/Spicer 50.)
however a D60 straight axle will bolt directly in its place (a common mod for off roaders/those with lifted trucks/plows,and those just with money to burn lol.)however the springs should be swapped as well,to those used with the D60.then you would need raise the rear axle 2" to match the increased lift of the front as well.this would essentially turn the truck into an "f350" with only the stickers door jam sticker differentiating it between the "f250".
