with flat heads?

I would love to have the '53-'56 body style, and also want a flat head. I was told '53 was the last year with the flat head. Is that correct. How much do yaw see them running for?

Hello. Yes 53 was the last year for flatheads in the states. BUT flatheads were placed into trucks in Canada and other places overseas in 1954. I don't think I've ever heard of anybody attempting a flathead swap into anything beyond that. But I'm sure somebody somewhere has done it. As far as the prices, they vary wildly. I've personally seen running flatheads go for anywhere between 500 or 600 bucks all the way past $3000 or more, obviously depending on the rebuild status or how much it's been modified.
