Input on homemade exhaust

I finally did away with my stacks. I got tired of the drone pulling a load long distances. I am thinking of trying to make my own rear exit exhaust rather than spend the money on buying one since I have a bunch of 4" pipe laying around.

I'm think about straight back to pumpkin than using 2- 45* elbow to get over the axle than either a 45* or 90* to exit

im all about homemade exhaust! all our diesels at my shop have homemade design most just exit right before the rear tire. although i think 2 45 elbows will work out to get over the axle.

I thought about in front of the tire but with the big sticks i dont want to be washing my wheel everyday and my on board air is there on the frame rail and gets in the way

If I use 45* should i worry about adding any straight in between them and what radius did you use?

It's going to take more than two 45 degree ells to get over the axle.

Two 45's and a 90 would be more like it.

straight pipe 45 -90 - 45 straight pipe

Where can one get 4" straight pipe and 45*...90*'s? and would they be necked down to slide into each other or straight 4" and use a very wide leak proof band clamp. I need to finish up my "home Brew" from the cat back...No one bend's 4" out here in the country.

You could also weld that section of elbows together over the axle together. No clamps to worry about failing or having to flare any fittings.

Hey shooter, I got my 4" 90* and straight pipe from summit. They have a lot of options to look through.

I have a 4 inch pipe straight out the back. It used to be behind the tire but that was hard on mudflaps. Straight out the back also makes the truck quieter inside and helps keep tailgators off of it.

Someone else said recently that they have been able to get this stuff through NAPA? I don't see anything online, but that doesn't always mean they can't order it for you.

went straight back than 2 45* elbows followed by a 4-5 adapter and 5" tip. Have about $130 in the set up. Gonna have to step up with at least a 6 or 7" tip. 5 looks tiny. I'll have pictures later

Have an 8" tip coming in the mail. Hopefully it won't look too goofy with 4" pipe running back
