What other 4.6 engines can I use in this application? I seems that the engines from a 99 cost the same as an 06. I would like to get this truck back on the road for as little as possible. I know that the 4.6 engine was used in lots of fords. Can I use 1 from a 99 crown Vic? Any help or advice would really be appreciated.

u can use any engine from an expedition, navigator, and some of the gas f250s. u can upgrade to a 5.4 but i believe it uses a different tranny
