Nice looking for $1500. It's back to the one thing are you willing to pay $1500 for it. Besides it not being a '49, the only other funny thing I saw in the pics is the dual shifter. Floor and column shifter...

It looks in real good shape to me. I picked up my 50 F1 for $1500. You have it all minus the trim pieces you said. Body and feders look good from the picks.

I agree, that's a find. Make him an offer and see what he says. Worst case is you pay full price. You won't get hurt. Chances are, though, you flash some cash at him, he'll come down a bit. Good luck.

I agree. There are things about that truck that tell me somebody tried to take care of it years ago. When was the last time you saw one of those tacky plastic seat covers on an old truck like that? And the previous owner must have been religious about safety or blind. It's got mirrors on every corner. Look at those little side window vents and the perfectly straight door handles. I didn't notice the "dual shifters". Somebody else posted an old truck like that back in the fall.

Please tell us if you buy it.

Yep, not a bad old truck at all.....but I'm kinda partial to 52's. It looks pretty straight and mostly complete!

It's a 52 for sure. Still have the Data tag inside the glove box. Most of the time they're missing. Ford eliminated the other Data tag that went in the upper right-hand corner of the firewall in the 1952 models.

As for the transmission, it may have started out as a 3 speed, as evidenced by the column shift. However, the transmission was likely later changed to a heavy duty 3 speed or even a 4 speed floor shift.

There were even less 1952 trucks made than in 1951. 1950 saw the largest production of trucks. So, a 1952 is the rarest, one could say, out of the 1948-52 model years.

In my opinion, $1500 is a lot of money for a truck that will need everything redone. I'd offer half and work my way up to about $1000. Don't show your interest and state what is wrong with the truck and what it would take to bring it back to life. Have cash and trailer ready when you make the offer.
