How remove Wiper Arm on 1978 F250?

Anyone know how to remove wiper arms on a 1978 F250... and explain it in a way I can follow? Sure would be much appreciated. Thanks!

it's not too bad. lift up on the wiper arm and youll see a small clip next to the shaft. pry this clip back and the arm should lift straight off. sometimes they get stubborn though as they've been on there for 30+ years so be patiant and keep tuggin. hope this helps ya

Thanks 79 f350ts! I'll try it again. That's what was doing. I put a leather work glove in between the cowling to save the paint. I took a 1/4 screwdriver and carefully pushed outward on that clip. The clip moved but the arm wouldn't. It was off when the guy painted it a year ago. He pit it back on so that it's smacking the windshield moulding at the bottom. I know LMC sells a tool for this. Might to order I guess.

it'll come off without it but frome what i hear the tool makes it easier. mine were a total bear

Take some duct tape and wrap it around the screwdriver to prevent marring the paint. The duct tape also builds the screwdriver up enough to get leverage to get the arm off the shaft. Make sure your prying 180 degrees opposite the spring clip.
