Shift indicator or gear indicator missing/broke

A bronco im looking at has the gear indicator missing on the dash between the gauges, it might be off to the side and i didnt see it.

Is there any common things to look at for this? Is it just the cable or does something inside the gauge cluster break? 1993 Bronco btw.

Thanks

Its a tiny little cable and a pointer that make up the indicator. Its not impossible for the cable to come undone but does make one question if the column or the instrument cluster has been serviced or disassembled for some reason in the past. It would be a valid question to pose to the seller as to how or why the pointer is no longer working. The answer will tell you if they are hiding something or they come right out and tell you why.

BTW, its a fairly simple fix.

Yea, and I might have an extra one for you if you get an acceptable answer for your question to the seller, and you end up buying the truck.

(wish I could find one for my '85 though...)

Ehh its from a dealer, they got it that way. The guy that traded it in just drove it from florida. Doubt they will have any insight.
