1995 shackle flip questions

I am wanting to do a shackle flip on my 95 f150. I keep reading that this will net about 4.5" of lift in the rear, and is pretty straight forward. The questions I have are, 1. How would I get the front leveled out after flipping the shackles in the rear? (I was thinking 3/4ton springs, but that will only give 2" at most) 2. How would I fix the new pinion angle?

To get more than 2" out of the front you will need a LIFT KIT. there is no other way around it

I have been looking at a roughcountry or tuffcountry liftkits (cheap). I really want to go with a 4" lift and 33"s. I don't want to go any bigger, because that would mean regearing my truck, and this is a DD/weekend warrior. What other kits would you suggest?

BDS is the ONLY kit I would put on a TTB ford. Lifetime warranty and they are a quality product

Can't find one for a 1/2 ton in my year. Plus it looks like they are in the $2000 range, which is insane for a lift.. I couldn't justify putting a $2000 lift on a $3000 truck, no matter how hard I try.

EDIT: Found them for my year and model on another site, and MUCH cheaper. The first site I looked at was ungodly expencive.. Now I am seeing 2" lifts for around the $400 mark. I don't like that their "complete kits" are not complete though.. Would still have to get steering stabilizers seperately, along with whatever else they leave out..

Would I need to get longer brake lines with a 4" lift kit, or would the stock lines reach? Also, would I need swaybar drop brackets? Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I've never lifted anything before.

Steering stabilizers are not needed, they are just for looks or covering up a problem.

As for the brake lines, i think you would be safe w 4" lift

If I would go 4" then I would want one steering stabilizer, just because of the roads I drive every day. I drive a stretch of about 18 miles of the crappiest gravel roads you have ever seen. Some pot holes on this road are deep enough that my running boards hit the ground. With those kinds of bumps I would want one stabilizer on there. If the brake lines would be ok then that would be sweet. Saves me a little bit of $$$

If your brake lines look like they won't reach, you can always relocate them to the bottom of the frame instead of through it.

Thanks for the advice there, but would I have to worry about hooking my lines on stuff if they are on the bottom of the frame?

What would look better with 33x12.50x15 tires? leveling kit (2.5" lift) in the front and AAL's in the rear, or a 4" lift kit?

4" lift is the only way to go, you will never get the alignment right with a leveling kit and it will eat through tires even worse then they already do. Plus it will look way better with the 4" lift.

I am worried that the tires will look too small with 4" of lift. And going with bigger tires is not an option, as I will already be pushing the limits of the stock alcoa's and 3.55 gears.

Hehe, you are 2 years late my friend.

My truck has been lifted for quite a while, I can post some pics if you want. I went with a 4" rough country lift kit and 285/75r16 goodyear duratrac's
