Seat Track Compatibility

Hey all...

So... I'm about ready to build my interior...
I have a 66 F250 Std, and will be placing a bench from a 1970 F100 into it.
I have a set of what I believe to be 65/66 tracks, but they don't work.
I know that 67-72 will work,
but what about 73-79?

Thanks!

The pans aren't the issue... the bench doesn't clear my 65/66 bracket's adjusting arm mechanism...

Up to 79 bolt to the floor pan as John mentioned. Use the 70s bench set. The 70 seat is wider than the 65 66 seat.

ford truck seats till 96 all use the same bolt pattern and mounting width on the seat itself.

If you need to use the 65 66 brackets modify the adjusting arm.

Sammy, I was suggesting using everything from the 70 in your truck. I am using a complete swap from a 76 in mine. As Dave noted I can't move my back forward tilt with the doors closed because it is wider but otherwise it works.

Are you sure all of your parts are original?

I've mentioned this before, supercab seat runners are NOT the same as regular cab runners for the 74/79 supercabs. They are LONGER, so the bolt holes in the runner do not matgh the regular cab floorpan. Tom

So, honestly, I'm not sure what year the tracks are from, but the bolt holes/pattern match my floor pan, and the length is correct for the 70 seat. I just finished cutting/grinding off the adjustment parts, and they now clear the bench seat "feet" for a great fit. I'm 6'3", So I'm thinking that I will ultimately lock them into the furthest rear position, should I need to lock em down. Thanks for the input, all.
