Ford Built-in dash electric brake controller

I have used many of the best electric brake controllers that I have installed myself. All very good for my trailer.
I have not use the indash Ford brake controller and wondered if anyone could tell me a little more about it.

Who makes it?
Is it a proportional controller?
I'm presently using a new Prodigy controller. Is it similiar?

Thanks

I do not know who makes it, but I have had a couple of OH **** moments with it on my 07, and it has worked wonderfully.

I'm sure it works great. I heard that it is a Prodigy controller board but have not verified that.

I've had both now and can tell you the factory unit is better, at least in my opinion. Seems others agree. Here's a couple threads on the topic...

fz1dave thank you for the links. I'm sold on the Ford indash brake controller. It seems to get better and faster information from the brake master cylinder and other locations. Very safisticated.

They used to be made by Tekonsha...not sure now. Either way, they sure work nice!
