Okay my ranger has been pissing me off latey. after a snow storm I moved my truck to shovel out the driveway etc and had it sitting for about 5-7mins just idling. then it just shut off and wouldn't turn back on. Now I have a exhaust leak but that wouldn't keep it from starting.

I've checked for spark and I have spark. from the plugs, coil and dizzy
fuel is a go as well. I can also hear both fuel pumps turn on, and have fuel pressure (tested it with a fuel pressure gauge.
I'm thinking about busting out my noid lights to see if my fuel injectors are pulsing but still it should start with starter fluid at the very least.
I also check my ign control module and it passed the test three times
cap and rotor look good.
grounds are tight from the battery from the body and chassis
I used my power probe to check for power and ground from the starter silenode/relay and had 12v's (but I couldn't bridge it to try to manually engage the starter and start the truck) so I may replace it.
my EEC "should" be good since when I turn the key forward the check engine light comes on for two seconds along with the fuel pumps turning on.
oh also checked fuses

So what's left on my list is to check the ECT sensor
and the o2 sensor
besides that I'm at a lost. and I know it's going to turn out to be something so simple.


SO please any help would be awesome!!!! please I also looked over the electrical start/ign system in my chilton and my hynes manual and couldn't find anything that I haven't checked yet.

 

tested the wiring harness from the ign module and pretty gunky so cleaned it out with electrical cleaner. and starter sili is good. I'm nearly out of idea's here people
