Accessories and Aftermarket

Ok, so I have had my new truck ('11 F-150 5.0 XLT SCrew 4x4) for about two weeks, now its time to start preparing it for life after being babied.

I ordered the Air Bags and Compressor for the rear suspension today. Got the kit from Fat Bob's Garage Fat Bob's Garage - Lift Kits, Leveling Kits and More! Truck Suspension and Performance Products. for $465.30 plus $30 for shipping.

Now I need the following sooner than later and Im hoping you guys can help a brother out with some links:
Quality custom fit floor mats
Neoprene Seat covers
Bedliner - Line-X vs. Rhino Liner; which is better? I have never considered doing it myself with the DIY kits online, or should I if Im pretty handy? (I would guess no)

So you know, and I dont get my *** flamed, I have looked at the obvious stuff... but $200 for floor mats and $300-$400 for seat covers that I cannot see myself in person is a tough bit to swallow, hence why I have asked for your help. I looked at Cabelas, truckaddons.com, and JC Whitney and didn't find anything worth jumping at.

Quality custom fit floor mats - I would only consider WeatherTech, or Husky. Sure they're pricey, but you just spent $30k+ on your truck right? Why not $200 to protect the carpet?
Neoprene Seat covers - Wet Okole Car Seat Covers | Seat Covers | Custom Seat Covers | Truck Seat Covers | Automotive Seat Covers
Bedliner - Line-X vs. Rhino Liner; which is better? I have never considered doing it myself with the DIY kits online, or should I if Im pretty handy? (I would guess no)

-Weathertech digital fit are my choice for floor mats. I only purchased the front set, and they work/look great. ($99.95)

-Seat covers. I dislike neoprene simple because I have dogs...I had Wet Okoles in the past.....dog nails puncture/tear them, and they are literally dog hair magnets. I went with Cordura covers from Headwaters seat covers ($225)

-Concerning linings: Of the two I would choose Line-X, although I've had problems with both of those brands. To explain, here in Montana it's not uncommon to see -20 in the winter. At that temp neither Line-X or Rhino lining holds up well....they get brittle and I've had chunks of the liner pop out when I threw something in the bed. We have a company locally called Montana Elastomers that uses Quarro coatings.....good from -65 to +250F, that's who did my new truck. I had the bed, and lower 1/4 of the exterior body all the way around done. ($1,088)

Let the company apply the coating/lining! There is a lot of prep work in order to do it right, and the correct primer must be used...otherwise the coatings don't "stick" well.

I might be tough to swallow those prices, but it's a pretty small price consider what our new trucks cost!

Ed, that looks great on the lower half...
Im not sure locally that I have many options. Actually, the only local listing for Line-X for me has a disconnected number listed. After seeing who applies the Rhino Liner (Ziebart), I refuse to get it... so I may have to do some more research or traveling.

Also, about the seat covers... great info, reps sent. I have two large dogs, so I will look into your suggestion for the seat covers. I was thinking the neoprene would help keep the muddy wetness from my pointer off the seats, but would hate to ruin $600 seat covers with his nails.

As for the dog seat covers...I went to Orvis for the back seat cover for my mutt. 75lbs of Aussie Cattle mix. He's hyper and their covers are nice.

I have had the Husky custom- molded floor mats from Cabelas in my F-250 for 10 years. They hold up well, contain all the water from wet boots, clean up easy and just pop them out and back in to get rid of rocks, sand and dirt. My F-150 will have them as soon as it arrives

Weathertech liners are the only way to go. I have the front and rear sets for my 2010 Screw, and the fit is perfect. Great in the winter with snow and for the mud during the Spring. Pricey? Yes, but the truck was almost $40K. Why go cheap on the liners?

I've had Weathertech floor liners in 4 vehicles now and have been very please with them. Weathertech floor liners are one of the most expensive but considering what we pay for our trucks I think they are worth every bit of it.

I had an issue with the driver-side floor liners for my Fusion when I first received them. I had a replacement from Weathertech within a couple of days.

Weathertech here also. I just got the digital rear floor liner last week and it is a very nice product for $99. I have Husky fronts from my 04 KR that I just trimmed to fit for now, might get the matching fronts for Christmas.
