You didn't specify a year. My wife's 2001 expy had bad airbags, I just decided to convert to coil and shocks using a kit from Rockauto.com. The air shocks are easy to remove, first turn off your air suspension switch, usually located right under the glove box by the kick panel. Raise the truck, once you get to the bad air bag you will have to remove a silver clip on the selonoid connector, turn it counter clockwise to release the air and remove the connector, then remove the clip on the top of the airbag, you can access it with needle nose pliers if you look in between the frame and the body on top of the air bag, you willl see it. Just pull it straight towards you. then pry the bottom of the air bag up and it will release from the clip in the axle. Hope this helps.

Try Lincoln Air Suspension Parts from the REAL Air Suspension Experts for your parts. They are highly recommended by others here. As far as instructions, I found this video for a conversion. It shows the air bag removal. Putting a new bag in is just the reverse. I am actually waiting for the Monroe conversion kit in the mail and I'll be done with my air suspension problems.

the cost was $134 total that seemed like the least expensive way to do it.
