Any 6-speed gas 4wd Super Duties out there?

Heck with 35's I think that might be some kind of record. I could get in the 14's consistent (hwy) with the stock contis but just changing brands hit the mpg hard. What kind of tires are those 35's? I'd love to get 35's next but just too afraid of loosing even more mpg going up that big, considering its practically my dd.

these where the tires they were on it when i got it. the 14 is highway and using the gps to keep mileage because the truck odometer is 15% off i get like 12 around here if i baby it

One funny thing i learnd about my manual is that for some reason it gets almost the same mileage in 4 or 5 (at 55mph). The rpms are higher but mileage ends up the same always settles in around 14 (a bit higher in the summer a bit lower in winter with more 4wd and idling). I dont put it in top gear unless im doing 60+ amd am going to be staying at the speed a while. It is nice to have that extra gear when cruising at 75 on the interstate though!

Same for me. I wasn't actively shopping, but I knew that my next truck would be a Super Duty with V10, 6 speed, manual transfercase, SRW, regular cab (if I ever found one that wasn't across the country, worn out, or a zillion bucks). When a found a low mileage (30,000) 04, locally, I scarfed it up. It's a lifetime truck for me, unless it gets wrecked.

Factory ordered my '02 F250 XL reg.cab long box 4X4 with the 6 speed, 5.4, and 3.73 rear end.
90,000 km (Canadian), just nicely broken in! A great truck used mostly to take me fishing in the backwoods. Will probably be my "death truck" as long as nothing catastrophic occurs (still worry about spitting plugs). Love the 6 speed.

Back in '05 my brother ordered a '05 F350 V10 XLT manual trans, regular cab, oxford white and he got the 18" wheels but really wanted the 20's, so he ordered the 20" wheels from Ford when he ordered the truck. When the truck came in he already had the 20" tires waiting and had my brother put on the new tires and wheels on the new truck and wow, what a nice looking truck. Fast forward about 5 years, truck was paid off and had around 85,000 miles on it and traded it in on a Nissan little pee wee truck. He never told me he was going to trade it in or I would have bought it, I was so pissed. Dealer made a big fuss about it being stick and it would never sell blah, blah, blah, it sold in 2 days, I never had a chance to make an offer on it, now I am pissed again for remembering this.

I used to have a 1997 4.6 5 speed 4x4 that I swore I was never getting rid of....but due to extenuating circumstances and a good friend, I ended up selling and I've spent the last 3 years in a Chevy Silverado, and as blasphemous as this is to say on a Ford site, I love the truck...the 267,000 mile LM7, the auto 4x4, and the G80 Eaton Locker......BUT! I had to get out of an automatic and back into a Ford!
My gripes with the F150 were that I didn't have a low gear and had to smoke the clutch to pull my boat around the campground, so I fashioned a way to use 4x4 low and disengage the actuator on the front axle to give me a granny low that I could use on pavement, The 4.6 lacked serious power and torque, and when you put weight on a 1/2 ton hitch, it squats like a girl.
SO fast forward to the last year of searching for a super duty 4x4 with a manual that I could afford (free basically)....I mean scouring Craigslist from Santa Fe, NM to the Florida Keys, and south of the rust belt, I found a 2003 F250 FX4 with the 5.4, a couple sticks in the floorboard, power windows and locks at a steal! The truck has a couple dents, and it has been used, but I can't wait to get in it this weekend! I won't sell it even if I wreck it, I'll have to put my drivetrain in another SD.
I've been on Ford-Trucks the past few days studying the 5.4, the ZF6, the NV271 trying to learn as much as possible.
First step will probably be to refresh all the fluids and get some fresh blood flowing through her. Anything I need to know?

*EDIT* Just seen thread is for 4wds.. Mods can delete if you want..
Well, Im gonna throw up a different kind of beast that fits this thread..
1999 F350 with 5.4 and 5 speed! Truck only has 76K miles.. Has a 19' Hodges car hauler bed. Truck is super clean. My main use will be to haul my zero turn mowers as I have a lawn care business.. I can also haul my 68 Impala or other cars if I want.
The big disapointment is the GVW is only 11,200.. I can legally only put 2600 lbs on the truck.. My two mowers put me over the GVW. Not sure what DOT will say if they ever stop me, but it is what it is... Im sure the mid 80s and early 90s 1 tons set up like this were less than mine..
Truck runs good, rides good but needs more under the hood. Flat roads it will run 75 all day long with a full size car, but it will be local runs for my use and it dont like hills... At least the up slopes..
