Ever used a NP435 with a SBF?
I'm going crazy trying to find a bellhousing that will mate a np435 and my 351c; what I gather is that I need a 6-3/4" deep bell which is what the tranny came with but it is for a 390.... Has anyone ever done this before or maybe have a resource that you could point me to for bellhousing depths? The only measurements I can find on bells are all 6-1/4"! Suggestions and general input is appreciated

351 cleveland to np435?
Have a 4 speed tranny with a small block bell housing. Its 6"1/4 bellhousing cast iron. Its from a 300 6 cyl from a 1970 ford 4wd f-250. Did a 351cleveland many years ago like 20 yrs and it ran flawless, in a 1979 ford 4wd. I think we had a borg warner 4 speed. but the total setup was a bolt in nothing tricky when we did it with a dual friction centerforce.
But I have a tranny/bellhousing setting here at my house and just measured and I think shouldn't be a big problem for bolt up. If anymore questions drop me a message and will measure what you need. keepin old iron alive one engine at a time. Forgot to mention the cleveland had dome pistons and was a screamer. compression tested 175 to 180 and ran on 91 octane. 7000 rpm was not a problem with a 4speed. one of those combo's that just worked and no regrets to this day.

its 2wd, since i'm putting this set up in my 63f100 that has the original Yblk 292 and BW T98 it seems to be a bit tricky- crossbar, mounts, etc.. I am very jealous of your pic there with your truck on the rolling hills, there are no off road areas near me for 100 miles. Thanks for sharing your experience with the inexperienced!!!
