1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 4X4 Long Wheel Base
4.6L (Inline 6 cyl) Engine, Mazda 5 speed OD Transmission, with Borg Warner Transfer Case
Showing 80,000+ miles. (Im sure this is probably 180,000)
Would make an excellent Hunting, Fishing, Work, or Farm Trk.
Engine holds great oil pressure, new clutch & transmission is ok also.
I have had the trk for 2 years & use it for hunting, fishing, & driving to work in the snow.
Drove it to Ballard County & Henderson County throughout the past 2 hunting seasons with no mechanical problems.
Body is sound but used. I have replaced the bed because the other one was rusted over the fender wells.
I have replaced the following with all new parts:
New Moog front bearings, inner & outer, spindle bearings, & all seals, brake hubs, front & rear brake pads, calipers, brake lines, New Warn Lockable Hubs. New Moog axle u-joints in the front end, new Red Head steering gear, new upper & lower Moog greaseable ball joints, Moog greaseable tie rod ends, all new Moog u-joints in the front & rear driveshafts. Moog camber bushings. New speedo cable, all new radius arm bushings, New metal brake lines from the cab back. New Moog front coil springs. New 19 gal. fuel tank & fuel pump inside the tank. New front (takes 4) Monroe shocks. New shocks on rear also.
All new radiator hoses, serptine belt, new Ford Motorcraft Plugs, Wires, & Distributor Cap. New EGR valve. New Water Pump, New Oil Pump, All new Fel-Pro rubber valve cover & oil pan gaskets. New exhaust from catalytic converter back.
ALL NEW PARTS, NO JUNK YARD PARTS.
Pulled out rotten carpet & replaced with new vinyl mat.
I also have an extra Warner T-18 4 speed Transmission (1st gear is bulldog) & Transfer Case with bellhousing from an 1987 that was totaled in the tornado in 2008 that goes with this truck also. Everything is inner changeable.
Everything on the trk works except the air conditioner. I have another compressor but never put it on. Has tilt wheel & cruise control.
I took out the rear gas tank.
