no such thing as quick fix ! all the work to swap tanks then just pull fuel pump out of your tank while your have it on the ground and clean it and the tank out or replace the pump !
might be a problem with the pump and tank that you want to put in there from a different truck !

Well i have a bit of a time problem, so i figured find a tank and pump for about 80$ clean that one up and slap it in the truck in under 2hrs. My front tank works just cant use it on highway i switch to rear tank lol. The junk yard near me wants 80 out the door but when they move the trucks in the yard the forks on the truck crush the front tank just my luck.

The junk yard near me give a 15 day warrenty and 80$ bucks for tank and pump is to cheap for me to pass up if i find one, and ya this is assumming the vehicle i take it off has around 100k or less. Heres my next question or 2, how bout a 5.0l punp and tank, when i drop the tank of my truck and look at it and see alot of rust and some rot( i hope not) right around the ring that hold the pump in place and i take it apart and damage the sending unit.
I guess what iam trying to ask is, if i drop the tank and remove the old retainer ring i should be able to just buy new one clean tank and reinsert the pump tighten everything and put back on truck.
