ah back in my high school days i dreamed of running strait pipe. dont do it, its pretty cool for a couple days then it gets annoying. I had two jeeps that I would run strait pipe it sucks that you have to let the rpms drop to enjoy your tunes. Slap on some glasspacks or imitation flowmasters and call it a day.

Exactly a turbo is a muffler in itself but still allows the sound your looking for. Straight pipes on something N/A besides burning valves is just plain dumb especially if it's daily driven. I'd run a decent chambered muffler and headers.

no dude.. no straight pipes man... way too loud... it does get annoying after a few days... leaves straight pipes for you show car or weekend driver... not a daily driver.. i had straight pipes on my daily driver... (74 f100) and it was sooo loud and annoying that i went out and got 2 flowmaster super44... and now its nice.
its so loud you wont here your radio... and if you have your gf in the car... girls usually dont like that... and they wont want to be in it with you... trust me first hand experience

well my parts truck a 78 F-150 with a 351m. It has got straight pipes on it, not sure of all the specs on them, but they are LOUD!!!! Whenever I bought the truck, it needed carburetor work so when we got it running right, it shook the neighborhood and one of the neighbors told me he couldn't wait till we threw a rod through it

It's cool for a little while. Then your hearing starts to go...lol Seriously when I first got my truck it had headers going to about 6ft of pipe. Talk about resonance! It was fun driving around for a while as I liked to hear my new baby roar, but there is no listening to radio. And if there is someone in the cab with you, they have to be sitting right next to you and you still have to yell. Not to mention coasting by the cops. I put some 18" glasspacks on dumped in front of the axle and it's MUCH more tolerable.

if you ask for an opinion on it, then its going to be biased to what the person replying wants, not what YOU want. personally i love loud. you run the pipe to the bumper and put some 3 inch tips on it, youll be good. i dont have a problem with cops and being loud where i live, they dont care too many loud truck. i could hear the radio fine with the pipes run to the bumper. ive never dated a woman that didnt like loud trucks or cars, if they dont like it they cant walk haha.
