hi,
does anyone know what happened to ACE Custom Steering? I'm looking for a similar steering wheel as shown in the picture for my 1997 Ford Aerostar.

thanks, I sent an e-mail to Carlos (shown in this thread), and it was returned "no such user". Also searched google, but no company with that name.

but these steering wheels must be available from somewhere else?

It may not be two tone, but these guys on Ebay will recover your current wheel with leather.

Here's another place online that recovers. Seems they will make the two tone also.

Check around. What you want can still be had.

thank you, that's exactly the wheel I'm after, but it needs to have the vinyl horn cover with Ford emblem and the cruise switches. I can adapt the switches to my Aerostar wiring. (but no air bag, I don't want air bags).

where I work there is a 2008 Dynamax Corp. Challenger F450 motorhome with the nicest steering wheel I ever saw, just like the one by american-stitches but with dipped wood too. I called them but they no longer have those steering wheels.

and I don't even know at this point if those wheels will fit the splined shaft in my Aerostar. I'm headed to the salvage yard to find out.

Ace completely shut down. There are several rumors as to why, but I wont spread them. I have one of their wheels that I never installed as they sent me the wrong one. After it arrived I tried to get in touch with them about it being the wrong one. They finally responded back about a month later apologizing and said they would refund my money after I sent the wheel back. I sent the wheel and it was sent back to me as refused. Not sent back as undeliverable, or attempted not know, but as refused by ACE. I shipped it as a blue label insured package with Return Receipt requested as they requested I send it to them.

SO here I sit with a wheel from them that I can not use as the controls do not match the controls I have for my Ex.

I am not trying to turn this into a FS thread by any means so if you want to check it out you can as I have posted it in the Free things thread here...

no horn cover? no switches? what exactly will you trade for? Otherwise I'm sorry you got ripped-off. No wonder they went out-of-business. I bet they showed up elsewhere with a different name.

The no horn cover and no switches is how they sold them. You would have to place your old horn cover, switches and back cover on there.

As far as trades....

05 - 07 Ford UPFITTER Switches and Wiring setup(w/included relays/fuses in harness) and the black bezel/tray.

or

part Number #7C3Z-17B676-AA and the entire spare tire holder assembly for the excursion minus the spare tire of course.

OR

I am open to offers.

I don't have the horn cover or the switches for that style of wheel, I'm wanting to replace my 1997 Aerostar steering wheel with one of those F150 wheels, but it needs to be complete (without air bag but with cover).
