PO475

04 127,000 miles has been down on power and getting the PO475 code. Replaced ebp sensor and cleaned tube and still not any better and still get the code. filters and fluids are fresh as well! What else should I be looking for?

P0475 is listed as an exhaust pressure control valve in the Ford master DTC list but not listed in the 6.0 bible list. The only thing I can consider an exhaust pressure control valve would be the VGT solenoid itself and I'm not sure that's it since a 6.0 doesn't have a EPCV. Usually a P0470 indicates a bad EBP sensor so I'm wondering what you're reading the codes with.

After doing a little more research it seems that P0475 is a 7.3 thing, but usually is related to a circuit code so you possibly have a bad connector or wire.

I know what you are saying. Most of the info im finding on this is related to 7.3 but not much on the 6.0l. Its pretty weird but i def have that code PO475 and it also reads Low Circuit Current so maybe your right about the wire. I will check into it. Thanks for your response to my issue I appreciate it!

What are you using to read the code?

I recomend fords IDS....
not for the avarge guy.
if you are going to be doing a lot of work on this truck then the AE software is worth it.
if not then any obdII/ can buss reader can pull codes.

There is something I should prob come clean on. I did a very very stupid thing about 1 month ago. It was after a snow storm we had at during the evening I decided to defrost my truck to save time in the morning before work! We needless to say my wife yells from the room as I lay on the couch, are you going to shut your truck off tonight? Omg I forgot to turn off my truck and it ran out of fuel...Talk about panic! I have no idea how long it had been out. The next day got a can got some fuel and gave it crank. It mad the most horrible noises ive ever heard from my truck! The truck has been down on power since. the engine almost sounds like its on running on 1/2 of its cylinders but not with any type of miss or starting problems. Just really muffled sounding and cant hear the turbo and way down on power! I have replaced the fuel filters and it seem to get a little better but then start to act the same within a sort amount of time.So go ahead and flame away for my stupidity but dont forget to lend any helpful info at the same time! LOL Also like mentioned Ive been getting the PO475 code so I got a new EBP Sensor and cleaned the tube, Also cleaned map hose.

I have one of the oldest 6.0 Predator's made. It does very well for reading codes and will give some running engine parameters. It's does a LOT better than my SCT for code reading, but it's nothing like IDS or AE.
