1995 4.9 to 5.0 help!!
hi, first off, i am new to the forums. I need some help with a few things. On the top left of the throttle body is a line that comes from the base of the tb, looked at another friends truck with a 5.0 and this seems to be a coolant thing?
second, on the right hand side there are two lines that come to a Y that is supposed to plug into something, what is this for and where does it go?

Not to sound snobbish or anything, but if you don't have a Haynes manual/point of reference and a good bit of money, it's a lot easier to fix the problem with the current engine than to put another engine in.
There's lots of sensors and wires on these EFI trucks that need to be hooked up, as well as the smog stuff if you don't want it to potentially run like a turd/get horrible gas mileage, since they're designed to work with it;
I've heard lots of people on sites like this one, gut All of their smog stuff and throw it out, only to find the next day they get 7mpg and it won't accelerate past a turtle.
However if you're going ahead with it anyway, and you have a friend with an EFI 5.0 then I'd suggest pulling it right up next to it for a point of reference where everything goes.
Pictures help as well when trying to positively ID things, since some things change between years, and depending on if it was a California truck or not.
